Terms and Conditions

Turnaround Time:
Please be aware that due to the custom-built-to-order nature of Sensei 6, the production of custom builds typically requires a significant amount of time. A minimum wait time of 12 weeks is necessary to ensure that your custom build is completed to the highest standards.

Please note that these estimated time frames are rough estimates and serve as a reference point. Various circumstances and unforeseen events can impact the actual timeline. It is important to understand that once a deposit is placed, there are no returns or cancellations allowed, without any exceptions.

The manufacturing and machining processes involved in creating custom parts, as well as the time required for chemical stripping, refinishing, and multiple-stage finishes, contribute to the overall lead time. Some builds may also involve additional machining and welding work to meet the desired specifications.

Rest assured, we always strive to expedite the production process while maintaining a focus on delivering a high-quality end result.

Deposits:
Due to the nature of customization, many builds will require a significant amount of time to fulfill. As such, Sensei 6 offers the customer a way to secure and commit the order by placing a deposit. Because this is a commitment towards a build, these deposits are strictly non-refundable, no exceptions.

Custom Parts:
Many of our outer lips and inner barrels are custom made to order. As in nature, a lead time will be required but cannot be guaranteed. We do not advise proceeding with any orders if you're impatient.

Please note that if you are purchasing parts from us without opting for our labor services, we want to clarify that we are not responsible for teaching or troubleshooting the wheel-building process. Our labor services are offered separately and provide comprehensive assistance with wheel assembly.

When purchasing parts only, it is expected that you have the necessary knowledge, experience, and expertise to undertake the wheel-building process independently. We are unable to provide guidance or troubleshooting for the assembly of the parts sold separately.

Outer Lips/Inner Barrels:
Please write down your wheel model in the notes section upon checkout.
Due to different valve stem and rebuilding techniques, most of the time we will not pre-drill the valve stem holes unless specifically requested. It is highly recommended for you to drill the valve stem hole yourself based on your personal needs.

Repairing/Refinishing Services
Any wheel repair or refinish jobs are done at the best of our abilities, at the extend of what condition the wheels are to begin with. We strive to restore every job to close to perfection, but they will not and cannot be perfect or new.
You as the customer must understand and agree to not expect a "perfect" or "new" wheel after the service has been performed.
Any wheel, no matter how slightly bent, MAY crack during the straightening process. We assure you that most wheels do not crack, and we take every precaution to maintain the integrity of your wheel throughout the process. In the event that your wheel does crack and is not repairable, we will not charge for time or labor spent in the effort to make the wheel straight. If we deem a wheel unsafe, we will not remount your tire and wheel onto the vehicle (No Exceptions). This is done for your safety. However, you, the customer, will be responsible for the cost of a replacement wheel (which you may purchase at Sensei 6 or you are free to go elsewhere). Occasionally small marks or discoloring may be left during straightening if the wheel was either severely bent or has a top lip bend, and by having your wheel straightened, you agree that this is acceptable.
Certain types of cracks cannot be welded and not all wheels are repairable. Most often this is due to safety reasons or structural compromise. Sometimes it makes more economic sense and is less expensive to replace a damaged wheel with a reconditioned or used wheel.
Estimates given to customers do not constitute a contractual obligation on cost. Your wheel will be reviewed by our staff upon processing and we will contact you in the event of any cost changes. Extra charges may result from plated finishes, specialty color matches and severely damaged or bent conditions.
We reserve the right to modify pricing in certain cases, but will always inform you and ask for consent before any price increase is billed or before any extra work is done. Our wheel refinishing results are at the top end of the industry’s standards. It must be stated, though, that no matter how good a refinishing process is, it still does not produce a brand new wheel. As many times, refinishing an used wheel will not always guarantee the results of a brand new wheel. When refinishing a wheel, you must expect that there may be some small imperfections in the finish such as subtle color variation to original equipment, metallurgical variations in the wheel alloy itself that cannot be refinished, an occasional dust particle in the sealed finish, pre-existing cosmetic injury that exceeds what can be safely filled or machined, the back and inside barrel may not be dressed and similar features. Our results are regarded by many customers as fantastic, even so, a refinished wheel will never perfectly match an original new wheel from its manufacture. You agree to set your expectations accordingly, and if you have any special matching or finish requirements, you need to specify them in advance so they can be written into the workorder and invoice.

Please note that when a wheel undergoes plating processes such as chrome, copper, nickel, or black chrome, it naturally thickens the original material of the wheel. As a result, certain adjustments may be necessary when assembling a two-piece or three-piece wheel, including custom chrome bore outer lips/inner barrels or further machining of the face register to ensure proper fitment of all components.

It is important to understand that Sensei 6 is not responsible for explaining or performing these tasks unless specifically requested by the customer. As such, we always recommend having us do the labor for as  a qualified wheel technician to ensure proper assembly and fitment when working with plated wheels to go through a smoother process.

Please note that most of our used wheels come from Japan and are easily 10+ years old. They come from an environment that is highly prone to corrosion, which is an irreversible mutation to the raw metal itself. For the wheels to be in used condition, things such as corrosion or chrome pitting is normal. Sensei 6 offers a refinishing service at an additional cost in order to refurbish them to a certain extent. However, although we do try our best to work with what we have, please do NOT expect used parts to look as if brand new.
